PEI(Polyetherimide)

슈퍼 엔지니어링 플라스틱 소재 사용

플라스타는 플라스틱 사출을 기반으로 한 아이웨어입니다. 플라스타에 사
용되는 PEI(Polyetherimide) 소재는 높은 기계적 강성을 가지는 비결정
성 소재로, 다른 플라스틱 소재 중에서도 강성이 높고 치수의 안정성과 염
소 및 부식성/산성 세정제에 대한 우수한 내화학성을 가지고 있는 소재입
니다. 하지만 PEI는 소재 특유의 색상을 가지고 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에
사출 시 컬러 구현이 쉽지 않다는 단점이 있습니다. 이를 보완하기 위한 연
구를 통해 자체 컬러 레시피를 개발하여 세련되고 고급스러운 컬러를 제
품에 적용할 수 있도록 하였습니다.
플라스타는 오랜 경험을 바탕으로 슈퍼 엔지니어링 플라스틱 소재를 능숙
하게 다루며, 최적의 탄성과 슬림핏을 구현할 수 있는 기술력을 통해 제품
을 생산하고 있습니다. [플라스타는 사빅(Sabic)의 울템(Ultem)소재를 사
용합니다.]
Plasta is an eyewear based on plastic injection. The PEI(Polyetherimide)
material used in Plasta is a non-crystalline material with high mechanical
stiffness and is of high dimensional stability and excellent chemical
resistance to chlorine and corrosive/acid cleaning agents(Plasta uses
Ultem from Sabic). However, PEI has a unique color in the material itself,
so it is not easy to put color in injection. Through various research to
solve this problem, Plasta developed our own color recipe so that we can
apply sophisticated and luxurious colors to our products.
With long experience, Plasta can handle super engineering plastic
materials well and produce products with the technology that can bring
optimal elasticity and slim fit.
